Sondra Hardy

Who is Sondra J. Hardy?  Sondra was born and raised in West Haven, Connecticut, where she attended elementary school and graduated from West Haven High School in 1974. She attended Bay State College in Boston, Massachusetts, where she served as Senior Vice President and graduated with honors in 1977.  She also received the Beatrice Ruderman Award for Fashion Merchandising and Design. Sondra has always had a love for reading novels, and as a result, she has a library of over five hundred books that she has read and collected over the years. She also has over 200 cookbooks, a testament to her love of baking desserts.  Her favorite author is Walter Mosley, and her personal goal is to have one of her Easy Rawlins books signed by him.  In 2023, Sondra published her first novel, Pieces. The novel was received with great success, winning the Book Fest Awards and the International Impact Book Award. It was a finalist for the Best Book Awards and the Independent Author Awards.  Sondra has completed her second novel, “Audine, A Sinful, Cursed, Malevolent, and Deceptive Woman,” based on the character Audine Collins, who is in the first novel. Two more novels, “Extinguished,” a novel about Kempton St. Laurent, the eldest son of Maria St. Laurent, who will serve in WWII, and whose mother, Maria St. Laurent, is a Hoodoo practitioner. The final installment will focus on the youngest son, Avid, who served as a doctor in the Korean War, and his time spent in Harlem in 1956. Sondra’s personal goal is to see her novels appear as television series or movies.
